I was once told that teaching 7th grade takes “stones.” For a girl who was raised by a woman who wanted her daughters to curl their hair and wear skirts everyday, I am willing to take that as a compliment. Born in Milwaukee, WI, I went to college on the east coast. In 2003, I moved to New Orleans. There was a hurricane in August, 2005. Due to that, I went to Paris to learn how to cook. It’s all come full circle: I’m back in Milwaukee, cooking and teaching, trying to make it all happen.
